Hi, I’m Darren, a Glasgow-based creative and problem solver working across set builds, props, fabrication and creative production support for photography, film and brand environments.

My background is in three-dimensional design and hands-on making, shaped by years of developing physical products, installations and visual environments through both commercial and collaborative projects. I come from a practical, materials-led approach to creativity — learning through testing, building, adapting and figuring things out in real time.

I tend to work as a generalist, supporting projects wherever ideas need to move from concept into physical form. That might involve developing a build approach, sourcing materials, constructing environments, refining visual details or helping creative teams navigate practical challenges during production.

I’m particularly interested in atmosphere, spatial storytelling and the relationship between materials, objects and environment. Alongside commercial and photographic projects, I’m currently developing my practice within film and television art departments, with a growing focus on environments, props and production design.

I really value collaboration, curiosity and work that balances creativity with practicality.
